Ukrainian author Katia Petrovska, who lives in Berlin, was nominated for the prestigious Dutch literary prize for her novel "Perhaps Esther."
By the way, among the contenders for obtaining this award Katia is the only woman.
European literary prize is the prestigious Dutch prize, which is awarded every year since 2011.
The award is given to the author of the novel written in one of the languages of the countries-members of the Council of Europe and translated into Dutch language. The purpose of the award is to draw attention to the European novel, literary and cultural heritage of Europe.
The creation of this award is an initiative of Dutch Literature Foundation, the Academic and Cultural Center "Spayu24" publishing center "Athenaeum", newspaper "Hrune Amsterdammer" and the fund "Lyra".
