Experts from the prosecutor general's office of France will arrive in Ukraine to participate in investigatory proceedings against a French citizen, who was detained on suspicion of being involved in preparation of terrorist acts before the Euro 2016 European Football Championship, Chief of the Security Service of Ukraine Vasyl Hrytsak has said.

"Experts from the prosecutor general's office of France will arrive soon. We have received a petition of legal assistance – they are asking us to provide the materials of the criminal case for consideration. They will participate in criminal proceedings against the detained French citizen," he told a press briefing in Odesa on Friday.

"I think they will make sure that we are not joking – one simply must not play with such things. We have really prevented a series of terrorist acts in France," Hrytsak said.
