Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has signed law No. 922-V III on public procurement, adopted by the Verkhovna Rada on December 25, 2015, the press service of the Ukrainian president has said.
"The law provides for the introduction of an electronic procurement system for all public purchases of goods and services, whose value equals or exceeds UAH 200,000, and for labor if it is equal to or more than UAH 1.5 million (for customers operating in specific fields the value of goods and services is equal to or more than UAH 1 million and that of labor equals or exceeds UAH 5 million,)" reads the report.
The law provides for the application of the e-procurement system in 2016 in two stages: from April 1 to the central executive authorities and customers operating in specific fields, from August 1 to other customers.
"The implementation of the law will allow to increase the level of competition in public procurement and reduce the level of corruption," the presidential press service reported.
