The parties are negotiating about the accession of milk, eggs and fish to the UAE market.
As reported on the website of the State Veterinary and Phytosanitary Service of Ukraine, the United Arab Emirates has permitted the supplies of Ukrainian lamb meat, poultry and beef to the country.
As mentioned, on February 25, a working meeting was held between the Deputy Head of the State Veterinary and Phytosanitary Service of Ukraine Alexander Verzhyhovsky and the Deputy Minister – the delegate of the UAE International Epizootic Bureau Abdul Rahim Al-Hamdi. The event took place at the Ministry of Environment and Water of the UAE.
During the negotiation, the Ukrainian side has been informed about the lifting of a ban on the exports of Ukrainian beef.
In addition, an access to the UAE market of enterprises that are recognized as eligible to exports of poultry meat to the EU, has been approved.
The sides have signed veterinary certificates for exports of beef and lamb meat from Ukraine to the UAE, which is the confirmation of Ukraine's right to exports these products to the UAE market.
It is also reported that the veterinary drafts of veterinary certificates of milk and dairy products, fish and fish products’ exports are being agreed on by the services of the both countries.
During the meeting, the parties have agreed to draw up without delay the veterinary certificate for exports of Ukraine honey and prepare the health certificates for exports of confectionary products, canned fruit, vegetables and other food.
