According to European Commissioner for Migration, Home Affairs and Citizenship Dimitris Avramopoulos, Ukraine must continue implementing reforms – fight against corruption, reform prosecutor’s office and judicial system. The Commissioner stated this during his visit to Ukraine, reports the EU office in Ukraine.
Avramopoulos congratulated President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, Ukrainian authorities and people on the implemented reforms as part of visa liberalization with the European Union: “Ukraine’s enormous efforts have brought positive results”.

“Fight against corruption remains a priority issue, which is a good thing. Our proposal to cancel visa obligations for Ukrainian citizens is a sign of recognition of successful reforms”, - the European Commissioner added.
Thus, Avramopoulos emphasized, that it is necessary to further the implementation of reforms: “Ukraine needs to fight against corruption, reform the prosecutor’s office and judicial system. The EU, in its turn, will continue supporting Ukraine on its way”.
