Priority goals for Ukraine are changing balance of economy, reducing budget deficit - Moody’sInternational agency Moody’s forecasts, that Ukraine will manage to receive another tranche from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in the first half of 2016, says the report of the company.

The analysts note, that changing the balance of economy and reducing budget deficit are priority goals for Ukraine. Further implementation of reforms, according to Moody’s experts, depends on cooperation with IMF, which is expected to renew in the coming months.

Moody’s also note, that political and economic reforms in Ukraine have been stalled after the drafting of 2016 budget, as well as due to the dragging process of shaping of new coalition and government. The agency notes, that the new government has renewed the program of reforms and has made decisions conforming with IMF requirements. In this regard, Ukraine will receive the IMF tranche in the amount of $1,7 billion in the first half of 2016.

The IMF Mission has started work in Ukraine on May 10. The Mission is chaired by Ron van Roode. IMF representatives will stay in Ukraine till May 18.

Earlier, Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman stated, that the Cabinet of Ministers regards cooperation with IMF as an opportunity to implement structural reforms in Ukraine.
