Eurovision 2017’s final in Kyiv to cost EUR 10 million, Olexandr Mazurchak, First Deputy Head of the City State Administration, said, as quoted by the agency’s press service.
According to the Ukrainian official, such events are mainly funded from the state budget, and only 10 percent of the sum will be covered by sponsors of the contest.
“Looks like the most serious expenses will concern the venue of this event. We don’t have a proper platform that would meet the requirements of such contest. But the capital’s infrastructure is better than that in the regions, so odds are the Eurovision-2017 final will take place in Kyiv”, Mazurchak said.
