National Bank of Ukraine is to sack half of its employees by 2020
Over the last two years the institution have already shrinked by half.
Only two thousand employees will remain working for the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) by 2020.
In total, over the last two years the staff capacity dropped from 11,800 to 5,300 employees.
"The National Bank of Ukraine continues its process of internal transformation into modern and independent central bank that is integrated in the european community of central banks. The transformation of NBU targets to increase its efficiency by means of reingeneering, introduction of modern management models and IT-decisions to support its activity. The changes will entail gradual reduction of staff capacity. Regular transformation step will last 2,5 years and will lead to the staff reduction by half compared to the present rate," NBU press-office.
