$1bln at stake without IMF tranche
Ukraine will not get $1bln of the loan guarantees from the US if the International Monetary Fund does not transfer its tranche to Ukraine.
The issues invoked by the e-declaration launch put the third tranche to Ukraine at stake.
The Minister of Finance of Ukraine Oleksandr Daniliuk said: "We does not collaborate with our international partners for the formal feature; we need real qualitative changes and not dubiuos quasi-measures. E-system [e-declaration] is a key moment to tackle corruption. It needs to work properly...Without it [e-declaration] the transfer of the tranche will be at stake."
Ukraine will neither get $1bln of the loan guarantees from the USA nor €1,2bln of the macrofinancial aid from the EU if the IMF agreement does not work, according to Daniliuk.
The Minister added: "We need to join hands to launch the system of the electronic declaration as swift as possible. If the system works seamlessly starting from September 1 and there will be no issues, we can count on tranche in September."
