Ukrainian farmers by September 7 collected harvest on the area of 9.9mln hectares (69% of the forecast), having ground 38.6mln tons of grain and leguminous crops (including corn) compared to 37.4mln tons of the same date in 2015, according to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.
According to the report, the average grain yield totals 39 c / ha against 35.9 c / ha in 2015.
In particular, 184ths tons of corn has already been collected from an area of 45ths hectares (1% of the forecast), 117ths tons of buckwheat from 91ths hectares (61%), 138ths tons of millet from 76ths hectares (73%).
The highest yield of grain and leguminous crops has been recorded in Vinnytsa (54.9 kg / ha), Khmelnytsky (52.6 kg / ha), Cherkassy (52.2 kg / ha) and Kyiv (49.1 kg / ha) areas.
Sunflower has being harvested that had been threshed on an area of 599ths hectares (10%) in the amount of 1.2 million tons.
Soy harvest amounted to 276ths tonnes from 136ths hectares (7%).
Along with the harvest, sowing winter rape for the crop in 2017.
Currently planted 601ths hectares or 83% of the forecast have been planted, compared to 388ths ha on the same date of 2015, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.
