The relevant agreement was reached during the first meeting by technical experts on the development of cooperation between Ukraine and the Greece Republic in the maritime industry, UNIAN.
Ukraine and Greece agreed to start development of the project on the ferry service between the two countries.
The corresponding agreement was reached during the first meeting of technical experts on the development of cooperation between Ukraine and the Greece Republic in the maritime sector, held on September 13-18 in Greece, where Ukraine was represented by a delegation of experts of the Ministry of Infrastructure,
according to the Administration of Seaports of Ukraine (ASU).
"In particular, in the agreement it was reached to provide mutual support at the level of international maritime organizations and European institutions,to exchange information, to assist the reforming of maritime sector in Ukraine by the Greek party, including port infrastructure to comply with EU standards, as well as the start of joint processing of technical and economic aspects of ferry connection between Ukraine and Greece, " it goes in a statement.
According to ASU, a joint protocol has been signed at the meeting, which specified areas of bilateral cooperation in the field of maritime.
It also includes fixed intention of both parties to create a permanent commission on maritime cooperation between Ukraine and Greece.
The next meeting is scheduled for 2017 in Ukraine.
