More Ukrainian goods to enter EU market - EU Trade CommissionerThe European Commission has decided to expand access to the European Union (EU) market for some Ukrainian goods, EU Trade Commissioner Cecilia Malmstrom has said.

The press service of Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers gave this information, referring to a statement of the EU commissioner at a meeting with Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman.

"EU Trade Commissioner Cecilia Malmstrom informed about the decision of the European Commission to expand access to the European market for some Ukrainian goods in addition to the EU-Ukraine Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA) for three years," the press service said.

The decision is to be approved by the European Parliament and EU members.

The sides agreed to hold a joint meeting with businessmen in the period when the meeting of the Ukraine-EU Association Council in Brussels (Belgium) on December 19.

Groysman welcomed the decision of the European Commission about the additional trade preferences and backed the possibility of expanding the quotas for some Ukrainian goods.

Malmstrom said on Twitter that she is happy to be in Kyiv again.

"Glad to announce additional market access preferences for Ukraine," she said.
