Ukrainian Uman is to receive UAH 7mln from chassids
The city budget of Uman in Cherkasy region will receive an additional UAH 6.8 million from the visit of more than 30.000 chassids who arrived to celebrate the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah, UNIAN.
Provision of services and the activities of legal entities and individuals during the chassids pilgrimage, according to preliminary estimates, will additionally boost Uman's budget by UAH 6.8 million, received in the form of taxes and fees, according to the press service of the Main Department of State Fiscal Service in Cherkassy region.
In particular, businesses and city residents pay taxes from the funds received from the property rent, transporting of luggage and trade.
In addition, the tourist tax will add funds to the city budget and as well as the tax on income from physical persons engaged in serving the chassid visitors.
Earlier, more than 30,000 pilgrims
from 20 countries were expected to arrive to Uman.
