No license needed for small winemakers in Ukraine
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko signed a law exempting the small local producers of fruit wines made of their own raw materials, from licensing their alcohol for gross sale, Ukrainskaya Pravda.
The licence by now amounted to UAH 500.000 per year.
Ukrainian leader signed the law while visiting one of the wineries in the Odessa region.
According to him, it will facilitate a significant development of wine production in Ukraine and this wine will glorify Ukraine in the world.
"Today there are many people who will commence to grow grapes, learn to produce wine," the President noted.
Poroshenko stressed that the south of Odessa region was still the poorest, despite favourable conditions for grapes growing.
