National Bank of Ukraine seeks to introduce digital currency using BlockChain
The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) plans to issue digital currency using BlockChain technologies, the NBU’s press service stated following a request from RBC-Ukraine.

“The NBU, like other world central banks, is considering an opportunity of introducing a digital form of national currency using BlockChain technologies,” reads the report.

Within the Cashless Economy project, it is planned that an innovative, highly protective, efficient and flexible platform will be created on the basis of the national payment system, “Ukrainian Payment Space”, so that to meet the demands of Ukraine’s payment market and facilitate a cashless economy in Ukraine.
