The price of bulk sugar rose by an average of 5.4% over the month, that of packed sugar by 1.1%. Among the main reasons are the rise in energy prices and the devaluation of the national currency.
As reported, with reference to data from Ukrtsukor, Ukraine in the 2015/2016 marketing year (MY, September-August) exported 113,000 tonnes of sugar, which is 3% higher than a year earlier.
