"Dad, now I understand why you're so fond of rock", these words of a 8-year-old little girl, overheard by a reporter of "Vector News", explain everything. The raptures of virtuoso performance, enjoyment of melodic sounds and the continuity of the "eternal youth."
So it is easy to explain the relatively large number of young people at the concert "ROCK SYMPHONY», held on April 2, 2016 in the "Ukraine" National Palace of Arts.
Production Company "Alliance-Shatro", as well as just recently - with the ballet "Suhishvili" - once again hit the mark. To listen to all Nirvana hits, Metallica, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Queen, The Beatles, U2, Scorpions, Bon Jovi, Depeche Mode, The Doors, ELO, Pink Floyd ... It's worth it. And when there is this crazy light show, special video arrangement, choir, orchestra and rock band - everything comes together! Then the time has no power and the real journey back to youth starts inside you.
It does not matter how old you are (in the next row the first year course’ students and an elderly couple were sitting nearby), your social status doesn’t matter (the rockers in T-shirts quietly coexisted with the respectable businessmen). The orchestra under the direction of mega-charismatic conductor Mykola Lysenko will certainly open new horizons of music perception.
By the way, Nicholas - the great-grandson of that very Lysenko, whose name is linked to the era of the formation of Ukrainian professional music, music education and the Opera House in Ukraine.
And it must be said that the heir to the famous composer keeps high the name of the family.
He was able to skillfully shake the audience, causing each viewer to act in unison with all the participants of the show. Not every rock musician knows how to do it. It was clear that the conductor was going through each song, wanted to show the long-familiar rhythm from the other side of the medal. Obedient to the wave of his wand, the audience beat the time with the hands, legs to the rhythm of a particular song. They even staged "starry night" with the lanterns on the mobile phones. And each composition was met by the audience as it happens at rock concerts: positive emotions overwhelmed everyone. The spectators were simply taken prisoners by the art of Maestro.
Here are just some of the comments in the social networks: "140 people on stage, harp, trumpet, violin, in general, all horns and strings, the most famous rock hits of all time and an incredibly charismatic conductor!"; "It's priceless. The conductor is awesome!"; "Such a drive, the combination of tools, charismatic conductor – it is unbelievable," "He stomps and jumps and sings to himself, but it does not look ridiculous, it just fuels more and more all the present."
Of course, the rock musicians often turn to the classics, but the world hits performed by a symphony orchestra, choir and rock band is still a unique phenomenon in modern Ukraine.
Why is it so? During one of the previous concerts Nicholas said: "The appearance of this project contributed to the human desire to achieve perfection in everything. Times ago a man built a hut - the house - the palace - fortress, and now we see what the architecture’s masterpieces. The same thing happens with music. The theme is born, it is sung by one person, then by two, then by a small group, and that's when it becomes the heritage of mankind, then a universal tool - such as a symphony orchestra – is applied to perform it.
When the orchestra plays – these are the words of the cosmos, of the universe. That is why humanity is now entering a new level of spirituality. When the highest values are being destroyed, it is time to dress rock hits in the noble clothing of the orchestra, so that they not only cause the superficial emotions, but also touch the depths of our hearts."
After today's concert, these words can be confidently repeated by every single viewer. An indirect confirmation of the abovementioned is the fact that the audience twice called the conductor for an encore, applauding, standing for 5-10 minutes without interruption.
As a result, the orchestra played the «Ticket to the moon» of “Electric Light Orchestra” and «The Show Must Go On» of “Queen”.
And as if obeying to the behest of the immortal Freddy Mercury, - "I'll top the bill, I'll overkill" – the team of "Rock Symphony" that day did and acted its best, creating an unforgettable experience for the audience. They proved it once again: rock will live forever!
