182 more Soviet monuments will be dismantled in northeastern Ukraine
The decree signed by Head of Kharkiv Regional State Administration Igor Rainin was uploaded at the administration’s website on Thursday.
The document features 182 monuments and memorials signs that are to be dismantled by April 12. The monuments come within the purview of law of Ukraine “On condemnation of Communist and Nazi totalitarian regimes in Ukraine and prohibition of their symbols”.

Previously, decommunization process hit its stride in Dnipropetrovsk region (southeastern Ukraine); currently, about 200 streets are left to be renamed, and 35 Soviet-era monuments are yet to be dismantled.
