Ukraine allocated 450 million hryvnas on Eurovision in 2017

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine earmarked 450 million hryvnas to host the music contest in 2017.
However, money allocated to the State Broadcasting Committee were taken from the special fund and conditioned to be returned.
The Minister for economic development and trade Stepan Cubiv said: “Based on the issued order the State broadcasting committee is envisaged to get 450 million hryvnas to conduct Eurovision in 2017.”
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has also commissioned the Ministry for Finance to develop projects that foresee the increase in the budget for the State Broadcasting Committee up to the assigned sum.
EBU (European Broadcasting Committee) evaluated the expenditures on hosting the music contest in Ukraine in 2017 as one of 15 million euros (over 425 million hryvnas).
Kyiv, Dnipro, Odessa are competing to host Eurovision.
