The phrase "Michelin-starred" is synonymous with "really expensive," and it's no wonder: meals at the kind of upper-echelon fine-dining establishments favoured by the restaurant guidebook purveyor don't come cheap.
Recently, however, strides have been made toward making Michelin-recognized meals more accessible for diners with less astronomical budgets.
In its recently released inaugural Singapore guidebook, Michelin for the very first time bestowed stars on street food.
