In Kiev the lawyers of Putin’s regime prisoner Nadiia Savchenko are trying to find out the details of a possible exchange of Savchenko for the Russian commandos captured in Luhansk region of Russia
The lawyers of Ukrainian pilot and deputy Nadiia Savchenko arrived to Kiev. They are trying to reach agreement that she could be traded as soon as possible for Russian Main Intelligence Directorate men Evgeny Erofeev and Alexander Alexandrov. This was reported on Channel 5 by the Russian lawyer Mark Feigin.
"Everything is focused on speeding up the exchange. Because we have a problem with Nadiia—she is going to start dry hunger strike after the verdict,"—he said.
According to him, "it is important to understand" how exactly these negotiations will be moved "purely procedurally" and how quickly a request for Savchenko’s extradition will be sent in order to let her serve the “sentence” at home after the "verdict" of the Russian tribunal.
"And at the same time it is very important to understand how the political situation will move in the sense of how fast the process of Erofeev-Alexandrov will be closed. As I understand, some idea about the fact that it should be an exchange is already present and a kind of understanding has already been reached,"—said the lawyer.
Earlier Savchenko expressed herself being against her exchange for the occupants from the Main Intelligence Directorry detained in Donbass.
Let us recall that the Russian investigation accuses illegally held by the Russian Armed Forces serviceman, deputy Nadiia Savchenko under the articles "murder" and "attempted murder."
After having been captured by militants, she was transported to Russia, where a criminal case against her was fabricated. On the 3d of March Savchenko will make a last word in Donetsk city court in the Rostov region. The "sentence" can be announced on the 10th of March.
