Ukrainian pilot Nadia Savchenko took the last word in the court.
Before that, she showed the middle finger.
"The court has stolen the week of my life. Now you have only a week left to make a decision. Maybe I won’t be alive by the time when this decision is ready to be announced. You can make a sensible step and admit your mistake, but you won’t recognize your fault. You can read the verdict today or tomorrow, or at maximum in one week’s time.
If you decide that the sentence would be ready in two weeks or at the end of April, or in six months ... if you want to show your strength - you can show it, but remember, you're playing with my life. The stakes are high, and I will win. I have nothing to lose. I will continue a hunger strike if the decision is made later than in a week’s time. I've said all I wanted to say, and I will not wait for the verdict. That is it, thank you! ", - Savchenko said.
After these words Savchenko started to sing the National Anthem of Ukraine.
Commenting on the situation, the lawyer of Savchenko, Nikolai Polozov said that his client is not going to stop the hunger strike, while the sentencing should be made in about two weeks’ time.
