Russian police accusing Crimean journalist in threatening territorial integrity of RFRussian police in occupied Crimea are investigating a case against a local journalist of 'Crimea.Realities' project by Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty.

He is charged with "threatening the territorial integrity of the Russian Federation". This is reported by the so-called Crimean prosecutor's office.

The identity of the correspondent has not been revealed. However, several Ukrainian mass media outlets state the name of the accused as Mykola Semena. The police have reportedly searched his home.

The reason for detention is an article written by Semena for Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty. It is dedicated to the economic blockade of the peninsula organized by the Crimean Tatar activists. The "authorities of Crimea" claim the journalist called for "military operation against the local citizens" in his article.
