Speaker of Ukrainian parliament Andriy Parubiy discourages easing of anti-Russian sanctions by the European Union. He informed about this during a press statement after a meeting with PACE President Pedro Agramunt in Kyiv.
“I emphasized, how much Ukraine appreciates support of PACE and encouraged further consolidation of international efforts regarding sanctions against the aggressor, against the Russian Federation”, - Parubiy said.
Parubiy added: “I also mentioned, that easing of sanctions is likely to provoke the aggressor to more actions”.
The Speaker also noted, that Pedro Agramunt and he also discussed the plan of reformation of Ukrainian parliament and Ukraine in general.
Agramunt, in his turn, assured Ukrainian parliament of complete support of sovereignty and independence of Ukraine, as well as further implementation of reforms in the country.

“We believe, that government and parliament should make use of the dynamics after appointment of the new government to continue the process of reform implementation”, - Agramunt stated.
Agramunt added: “In order to ensure peace and welfare in the country, Ukraine must be powerful and rich, have independent state institutions and structures in order to implement reforms”.
PACE President also stressed the importance of unity of all political forces in Ukraine to ensure success of reforms.
