Yanukovich is to testify in court on "Berkut" crimes during Revolution of Dignity case
The former president of Ukraine is to give the court testimony on the case of former "Berkut" special unit of Ukraine, Radio Svoboda reports.
An attorney Vitalii Serdiuk, an advocate of Yanukovich, said: "Based on the material prepared by the General Prosecutor's Office (GPO), de-facto he performs as an accomplice in crime, committed by "Berkut
." Thus, on grounds of an absolute human right to the protection, he must be interrogated. But this matter was raised not by the GPO but Viktor Yanukovich himself."
Asked whether Yanukovich was ready to testify Serdiuk said that such testimony will take place in "September-October."
Yanukovich "asked for him to be testified", according to Serdiuk.
Serdiuk also said that the ex-President will testify via video-conference.
