Ukrainian Ambassador to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) claims there is a group of people who want to lift sanctions imposed on Russia, the Evropejskaya Pravda.
The Ukrainian ambassador to the PACE Dmitrii Kuleba claimed the group also intends to bring Russia back to the Council of Europe.
Kuleba said: "Speaking diplomatically, very difficult and, on our opinion, nonconstructive processes are taking place in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe."
"Their goal is to return the Russian delegation to the hall of PACE regardless if it fulfills the resolution requirements, that the Assembly itself applied," he added.
Kuleba pointed out that "there is a group of people who want Russia back at any price."
"Do they have enough votes to pull it off? It is another question. And autumn will be extremely tense in this respect. We do not talk about the return of the russians in October. However, the October session of the assembly will show how feasible the russian return to PACE in January 2017," he added.
