Poroshenko reported the NATO Secretary General about the conflict escalation in Donbas
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko urged NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg to keep the issue of Russia's aggression against Ukraine on the agenda of the North Atlantic Alliance, UNIAN.
While in the phone talk, Ukrainian president reported about the conflict escalation in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, and growth of the russian provocations on the occupied territories of Donbas and Crimea, according to the presidential press-office.
Stoltenberg in his turn emphasized the need to abide by the Minsk treaty.
The sides discussed the implementation of "Complex NATO aid package for Ukraine", adopted at the Alliance's summit in Warsaw.
Poroshenko expressed the hope that this package will help to modernize the Ukrainian army to NATO standards.
