71th session of the UN General Assembly starts today in New York
The UN General Assembly opens its 71th session today.
The are 170 points on the session's agenda.
The main topics announced are the development issues by 2030, the settlement of inner - and inter-state conflicts and migration.
Opening Ceremony is scheduled for 3pm local time (22.00 of the Kyiv time).
Delegations from 193 countries will participate in the UN General Assembly session.
The chairman of the new session has been elected to be Fiji's permanent representative Peter Thomson.
Ukraine's delegation will be headed by the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.
Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin said that as part of the General Assembly the President of Ukraine will meet the President of USA Barack Obama.
