Former President of Ukraine, the official representative of Ukraine in the Trilateral contact group on the settlement of situation in Donbas Leonid Kuchma believes that Europe is also responsible for the events in Ukraine, UNIAN.
Kuchma reported it to the journalists on the sidelines of the annual meeting of Yalta European Strategy (YES) in Kyiv.
Ex leader said: "France, Germany, Russia signed the Minsk protocol, and they pledged themselves. I was not even present at these negotiations. Trilateral contact group was sitting 10 km away, and then we were brought [Minsk agreements]in the morning, we have all signed it and that was it."
"Merkel, Hollande, Putin and Poroshenko are people who took responsibility and they must be responsible for it. They have not just come together, talked, and signed ... let Europe understand that it is responsible for this situation in here," he added.
"As in 1945 Yalta, Europe was divided into two parts, 50 years of the Cold War, now in 2014 - the war again, and again Europe is being divided into two," the former president resumed.
