Ukrainian Parliament adopted law on the National Commission for energy and utilities
The Ukrainian Parliament has adopted at second reading a law on the National Commission for regulation in the energy and utilities sector that provides an independent regulator at the energy market in Ukraine according to the European standards, UNIAN.
Two hundred fifty MPs voted for the corresponding bill №2966-d, with the required minimum of 226 votes.
Presenting the bill, the deputy chairman of the committee Olga Belkova said:"Today's decision is fundamental for the past 10 years ... I ask you to give a positive signal to the market and investors who are willing to come, for instance, at the electricity and gas market."
