The state of emergency in Turkey can be extended for another three months, NTV.
This was stated by the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Erdogan said: "The state of emergency was declared for three months. They tried to speculate on these issues, but they do not understand a simple thing -since the first day, a state of emergency has been limited to combating terrorist organizations."
Turkish leader also noted that these measures do not interfere with "daily life comfort."
However, according to the president, three months may not be enough.
"National Security Council recommended to extend the state of emergency for three months. Our government will take appropriate action," added Erdogan.
In his view, the continuation of the state of emergency will benefit Turkey.
