Kyiv City Council officer charged with bribery
A man received UAH 52 thousand to approve the placement of outdoor advertising in the capital.
National Police of Ukraine and Prosecutor General's Office arrested the blackmailer from the Kyiv City Council (KCC).
An employee from the advertising department of one of the Kiev city administration departments demanded a bribe of UAH 52 thousand to give a positive decision on the placement of outdoor advertising in Kyiv, according to the police press service.
Prosecutor General's Office filed a criminal case according to the paragraph 3 Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, investigators of National Police of Ukraine documented the fact of the official getting first part of undue advantage.
He was detained immediately after he got the rest of the agreed amount.
Police seized UAH 42 thousand in a car of KCC official.
In general, the official earned UAH 52 thousand on advertising.
