Putin congratulated president-elect of Moldova
Russian leader has also invited Igor Dodon to Moscow.
Russia's president Vladimir Putin congratulated the Moldovan president-elect Igor Dodon who has been known for taking pro-Russian stance and promised to restore relations with Russia.
The Kremlin press service said:"The president of Russia expressed an aspiration towards the functional dialogue and active mutual work on the development of the Russia-Moldova relations in accordance with provisions of the Treaty of friendship and cooperation, the fifteenth anniversary of which is celebrated this year."
Also, Putin invited Dodon to visit Russia. In its turn, Dodon's first visit abroad was planned to be made to Moscow.
Igor Dodon won the second round of presidential elections in Moldova on November 13.
