Ukrainian army positions in Donbas came under 48 militant attacks in the past day, the press centre of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) headquarters said on Thursday.
"In the past day, mortars and grenade launchers were used to shell the towns of Maryinka and Krasnohorivka, the villages of, Shyrokyne, Hnutove, Vodiane, and Talakivka. Maryinka, the villages of Novotroyitske and Pavlopil came under sniper fire," the ATO HQ said on Facebook.
Banned 120mm and 82mm mortars, an infantry combat vehicle, grenade launchers and small arms were used to fire on Ukrainian positions in the town of Avdiyivka, and the villages of Zaitseve and Luhanske in the Donetsk sector.
Militants used 120mm and 82mm mortars, infantry combat vehicles, grenade launchers along with small arms to shell the villages of Novozvanivka, Novo-Oleksandrivka, Krymske and Troitske in the Luhansk sector. A sniper was active in Novo-Oleksandrivka, the ATO HQ said.
