The ambassadors of the EU countries decided to extend the sanctions against the Russian physical persons and companies due to the aggression against Ukraine for the half of a year. The journalist of Radio Liberty Rikard Jozwiak reported this at Twitter.
The EU Ambassadors decided to extend asset freezes and visa bans for 149 Russian officials, separatists and 38 entities, Jozwiak wrote.
The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko commented on the decision of the EU Ambassadors at Facebook.
I hail the decision of the EU Ambassadors to extend the set of the sanctions against Russia due to the occupation of Crimea for a half of a year. The burden of Crimea is our should become intolerably heavy to completely restore the sovereign of Ukraine over the peninsula, Poroshenko claimed.
Earlier the sources reported on the extension of the sanctions against the entities and physical persons that threat the Ukrainian sovereignty.
The US extended the sanctions against Russia due to the situation with Ukraine. Particularly, 38 physical persons and entities were added to the sanctions list.
