Citizens of several South Korean cities rallied against deployment of THAAD missile defense systems across the country as the government deployed one and declared intention to set another four.
According to Al Jazeera, hundreds of protesters rallied in Seongju, protesting against deployment of more THAADs. Dozens of protesters got injured in clashes with police.
Previously, the South Korean government said it would deploy U.S. anti-missile defense systems in order to counter possible attacks of the North Korea the move U.S leader Donald Trump officially approved.
On September 3, the North Korean government said the military conducted a successful test of hydrogen bomb. Pyongyang denied any radiation leaks or any other sort of harmful consequence for the environment.
The international society condemned the actions of the North Korean government. U.S. President Donald Trump said Washington considers shutting down trade relations with any country that cooperates with Pyongyang. The U.S. leader did not rule out using nuclear weapons against the North Korea.
