The epidemic lasted four weeks, 329 people died.
The Ukrainian Ministry of Health officially confirmed the end of the flu epidemic in Ukraine, reported on February, 23.
"We have good news—the epidemic of influenza is officially over. The analysis of the situation showed that in all the areas of the country the indicators are well under the epidemiological threshold," the acting head of the Sanitary-Epidemiological Station Svyatoslav Protas informed during the briefing.
According to the official data, 329 people died during four weeks of the epidemic in Ukraine.
Protas said that in some regions the increased level of flu cases still remains. Besides, in 56 educational institutions of Ukraine the educational process has not been resumed yet.
As of Friday, February 19, 319 people died from influenza in Ukraine, including five children under the age of 17 years and two pregnant women.
