Named the main danger of social networking
People who have an account in social networks and trying to show unusual traits, tend to experience stress and lead isolated life. This is found researchers from the University of Tasmania, who conducted research in Facebook. The results published in the journal Cyberpsychology, Behavior, and Social Networking.
According to scientists, their goal was to assess the consequences arising from the use of his alter ego in a social network. The authors compared the true and the virtual identity of users, degree of social attachment and psychological well-being, level of anxiety, stress and depression. The study involved 164 people who completed questionnaires.
Currently, the population is 7.4 billion people, and the number of active Facebook users — approximately 1.7 billion people. Scientists believe that if we develop methods that enable people with social and psychological problems, equally behave in real life and in Facebook, it will reduce the stress level.
