There is a fear they fell victims to trafficking or violence, the Independent.
In the UK hundreds of refugee children who arrived to the United Kingdom without an adult have been lost, according to the Independent, citing data acquired from the UK Interior Ministry.
In total, the authorities do not have any information about the whereabouts of the 360 refugee children.
More than 200 of them have not got in touch for more than two years.
According to the publication, there are fears that the underaged could become victims of traffickers, or subjected to violence.
Another reasons for the disappearance of the children could be trauma, stress, distrust of the authorities, as well as fear of deportation.
Over the past five years 9287 underaged arrived to Britain without parents or any guardian.
Most of them were placed in orphanages or appointed to foster families.
It is reported Ombudsman for Children in the UK Anne Longfield urged the government to begin the search for missing children immediately.
