The import ban was put due to the African swine fever (ASF), Replyua.net.
State Service for Food Safety of the Ministry of Agriculture of Armenia banned the import of pork from Ukraine.
The African swine fever that has been pervading across Ukraine invoked such measure.
The ban on imports applied to live pigs, pork, as well as all the genetic material of animals - bristles, guts, skin, various raw materials, finished products and even trophies.
In addition, Armenia has also forbidden to bring all the feed and feed for pigs, except those that contain chemicals and synthetic ingredients.
Earlier, Belorussia applied the same ban due to ASF.
