Kyiv City Council banned the sale of alcohol at night in supermarkets, VESTI.
Kyiv City Council has voted to ban the sale of alcohol in supermarkets after 23.00, according to the post of the deputy Oleg Petrovec on Facebook.
Oleg Petrovec posted: "We have just adopted a declaratory decision at the Kyiv City Council session and voted to limit sales of alcoholic beverages and beer in the stationary trade facilities in the city of Kiev."
The document introduces a ban to sell alcohol from 23.00pm to 10.00am.
In addition, law enforcement authorities should strengthen supervision to ensure that alcoholic beverages are not drank in public places and on the streets.
It is reported that shops and supermarkets can get a license annulled in the case of violation of the temporary measure.
The authority which issues the license, is recommended to conduct regular inspections to monitor entrepreneurs's compliance with the decision.
