Only about 9% of Ukrainians hold deposits in banks, according to a survey of the "Social Monitoring" and the Yaremenko Institute of Social Studies, BBC Ukraine.
In addition, 77% of respondents do not trust the Ukrainian domestic banks, sociologists reported.
4% of respondents said they personally lost their deposits in troubled banks, 9% - have family members who lost their deposits.
68% of respondents said they have no savings at the moment.
The survey took place on October 20-24 in all regions except Crimea and parts of Donbas.
1,500 people were interviewed. Inaccuracy makes within 1,5-2,5%.
