More than 30 criminal cases have been initiated in the Russian Federation territory against the Ukrainian military, Donbas conflict participants, said Vladyslav Selezniov, spokesman for the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in an interview with Radio Liberty.

"There are more than 30 of them (criminal cases, - Ed.) against officials of various levels, beginning with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General of the Army Viktor Muzhenko, and ending with commanders of units that carried out or are currently carrying out tasks in the areas We recall that recently Russian special services detained Ukrainian Pavlo Gryb on August 25 - the day after he crossed the border of Belarus - and did not allow representatives of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry or lawyer to visit him. The Belarusian side only confirmed on August 31 the fact of crossing the border.

Also on the territory of the Russian Federation, Nikolay Karpyuk and Stanislav Klykh are illegally detained. The Supreme Court of Russia recognized the verdict of Klykh and Karpyuk sentenced to 22.5 and 20 years of imprisonment for allegedly participating in military operations on the side of Chechen rebels in the 1990s.
