Women's World Chess Champion is defeated by Latvian Minister for Finance
Latvian Minister for Finance has beaten the world champion from China at the World Chess Olympiad which is held now in Baku.
In the fourth round of the Olympiad Latvian women team lost to Chinese opponents - 1,5:2,5. The only victory for the team gained Dana Reizniece-Ozola, Latvia's top board and also the country's Minister for Finance. More of than she defeated Women's World Chess Champion Hou Yifan. But China still emerged on the top with wins of Ju Wenjun and Guo Qi.
It is not the first time Reizniece-Ozola represents Latvia on different chess competitions. She won the Latvian Chess Championship for women in 1998, 1999, 2000, and 2001. In 1998 and 1999 she won the European Girls Under-18 Chess Championship.
