John Kerry arrived in Ukraine
U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry was due to visit Kiev on Thursday to discuss Ukraine's reforms and a fragile ceasefire in eastern Ukraine where Russian-backed separatists are fighting government forces.
In a short briefing right after the meeting the President of Ukraine assured that Ukraine and the US have common values and purposes. Poroshenko marked the powerful expert and financial support to Ukraine on its path of implementing reforms from America.
Meanwhile, John Kerry reminded that there is no other alternative than Minsk agreements. Also he said that that still a lot of changes should be made to strengthen Ukrainian democracy.
John Kerry is on his way to NATO Summit in Warszawa. Yesterday he had visited Georgia
. In Ukraine he also had planned meetings with the PM Volodymyr Groysman.
