No reaction of EU on the Crimean buzz
The European Union did not make public its opinion regarding the events in Crimea and the situation at the administrative border of Crimea and mainland Ukraine.
Brussels has demonstrated no coordinated response so far, “Evropeiskaya Pravda” reports after reaching the EU for a comment.
However, not only the representatives of the European Commision abstained from the commenting during its daily briefing but the Foreign-Policy Service of EU who issued no press-releases as well.
Besides that, the European journalists who cover the EU topics got message from the European External Action Service (EEAS) on the freedom of expression in Maldives ignoring the Ukrainian events.
The Wall Street Journal journalist Laurence Norman twitted: “ Just in: Statement from EEAS. On this week’s Ukraine events? Nope. Freedom of expression/media in Maldives."
