New Tibetan Communist leader proceeds on the Dalai Lama criticism

New Tibetan Communist leader proceeds on the Dalai Lama criticismWu Yingjie, new Chinese Communist Party secretary in Tibet, signaled he wont change attitude for Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama and called for his stronger denunciations, state media said on Thursday.

The government must "deepen its exposure and criticism of the Dalai Lama," Wu said on Thursday in official Tibet Daily.

He also said there must be "positive guidance on Tibetan Buddhism and socialism adapting themselves to each other" in order to promote religious harmony.

Wu Yingjie was appointed as the region's top official on Sunday.

Tibet was seized by Beijin in 1950 in what he called a "peaceful liberation". In 1959 was caused to flee to India, after uprising against the Chinese failed.

The Dalai Lama is treated by Beijing as a dangerous separatist who wants an independent Tibet. Buddhist leader says he only wants genuine autonomy for his Himalayan homeland.
