Ukrainian Parliament demands from Russia the immediate end of Crimea’s and Donbass’ occupationVerkhovna Rada demands from the Russian Federation to stop immediately the occupation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol, as well as some territories of Donetsk and Lugansk regions.

This requirement is contained in the Ukrainian Parliament’s address to the parliamentarians of foreign states, the parliamentary assemblies and international organizations and has the aim to condemn the ongoing aggression of the Russian Federation in Ukraine. The address was supported by 236 Ukrainian parliamentarians on Thursday.

"Verkhovna Rada demands from the Russian Federation to stop immediately the occupation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol as well as some territories of Lugansk and Donetsk regions",—the statement says.

The Parliament of Ukraine urges the Russian Federation to stop the continuing practice of abductions, illegal detentions and arrests of Ukrainian citizens. It also urges to lift a ban on entry of Crimean Tatar people on the territory of Crimean Peninsula. It demands to stop a violation of freedom of expression and media as well as the restriction of freedom of religion and peaceful assemblies.

People's deputies of Ukraine demand that the Russian Federation should ensure "the immediate release of political prisoners—the inhabitants of Crimea, should implement the decisions of the European Court of Human Rights, should ensure and facilitate the unimpeded access of international missions and human rights organizations on the territory of the Crimean Peninsula for the purpose of continuous monitoring and observation of the situation in the sphere of human rights’ and freedoms’ protection on the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol."
