The first Ukrainian-developed electric car Synchronous was showcased in Kyiv.
The car developers – the experts from Electric Marathon International - say that most auto parts were manufactured in Ukraine. The vehicle was assembled also in Ukraine.
While resembling a modern carriage, the electric car can accommodate six passengers and the driver. The car design is both futuristic and retro at the same time.
The engineers say the car may be used as a taxi or tourist 'shuttle' in Monaco, which is a co-organizer of the annual electro mobile marathon. It is where the Synchronous prototype was presented even before it was demonstrated in Ukraine's capital. Take a look:
The developers emphasize that their new product is just a prototype, they continue working on it, and therefore they do not specify when it enters series production or how much it will cost.
However, the developers believe potential buyers may be interested in the car, if its final price will be lower than EUR 100,000.
On May 22, the electric car will be presented in Lviv (western Ukraine), from where it will be travel-trailered across European cities. The final destination is Monaco.
