‘Crimea: Resistance’: annexation of Crimea through foreign investigator's eyes (VIDEO)
The film was sponsored and eventually uploaded on the Web by Ukraine’s Information Policy Ministry.
According to Emine Jeppar, First Deputy Minister and co-producer of the documentary, the story is optimised for a foreign viewer.
‘The main character is a very real-life investigator who studies the history of Crimean Tatar people. It’s through his eyes that we can see what’s going on in Crimea since 2014 till now. These are 25 minutes of facts and emotions about Crimea’s occupation. Such movie is supposed to serve Ukraine’s interests in Crimea, to protect Crimean Tatars and Ukrainians residing in the peninsula – as they are currently the main target for the occupants. However, they continue struggling – both in prisons and at large; in the occupied Crimea and the mainland Ukraine’, Jeppar said.
